Homemade Electrolyte Drink
Better than gatorade. Skip the neon-colored sports drinks loaded with artificial dyes and corn syrup. Not only is this homemade electrolyte drink refreshing, itβs all-natural and made with simple ingredients that are loaded with vital nutrients.
Coconut water naturally replenishes electrolytes.
Lemon adds vitamin C.
Sea salt restores sodium lost in sweat.
Maple syrup gives quick natural energy without refined sugar.
Ingredients (2 servings)
2 cups filtered water
1 cup coconut water (natural electrolytes: potassium, sodium, magnesium)
Juice of 1 lemon
1β2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp. sea salt
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a mason jar or glass pitcher. (my favorite one)
Shake or stir until well mixed.
Chill before drinking.
Variations: Cucumber- lime, Strawberry-Lemon, Blackberry
Just blend in a blender and strain or add whole fruit and allow the flavors to incorporate
